Four juveniles kill friend, detained

Four juveniles were detained and sent to a juvenile justice home for killing one of their friends here, said police on Friday. Police came to know about the murder three days after the incident when one of the accused surrendered in a police station and confessed. The incident was reported from west Delhi’s Narela area. All the accused, aged between 12 and 16, killed their 14-year-old friend over personal rivalry Tuesday night and dumped his body at a secluded place in Narela industrial area. All the accused live in Narela’s slums.
‘Police are yet to identify the victim as his face had been smashed with a stone. Personal enmity was the reason behind the murder,’ police said. ‘In his confession, the accused said that last Tuesday night he and his other associates and the victim had met in a park. They drank alcohol and killed the victim,’ police said.
