Four arrested for trafficking boys & girls from Nepal

Crime Branch has busted an organised human trafficking racket and arrested four persons who were trafficking girls and boys from Nepal to Delhi on the pretext of sending them to foreign countries.

The arrested persons have been identified as John Khadka (46), Purnima (27), Nira (39) and Harish (30). On Saturday, a member of All India Nepalese Unity Forum, NGO, complained at Anti Human Trafficking Unit that three trafficked girls came to his office after running away from the custody of traffickers — John Khadka and others, and legal action be taken against the traffickers criminals.

During investigation, the victims told that one Tirath Raj, a resident of Kathmandu, Nepal allured the young girls and boys to send them to New Zealand and other foreign countries on work visa. The victims were called for interview in different hotels of Kathmandu. 

He obtained Rs 8 to 10 lakh from each victim and asked to contact John Khadka in Delhi for the visas and other formalities for sending them to foreign countries from Delhi. “John Khadka kept them as hostage in his house in Main Sagarpur and kept their passports and other documents” said a cop privy to the investigation.
