Four arrested for robbing businessman

Four persons have been arrested for allegedly robbing a man of Rs 8 lakh at <g data-gr-id="15">gun point</g> in East Delhi’s Geeta Colony area, police said on Tuesday.

The accused have been identified as Deepak (21), Rajesh (21), Virender (23) and Pankaj (22). The mastermind, identified as Deepu, who is known to the complainant, and his main associate, Aarav, are yet to be nabbed, said police.

According to a police official, the incident was reported on September 26, when the complainant, who owns a business enterprise at Bhagirath Palace in Old Delhi, was returning home. When he stopped at an eatery near Geeta Colony, the accused men allegedly robbed him of Rs 8 lakh cash at <g data-gr-id="19">gun point</g> and fled in their motorbikes.

Meanwhile, in another incident, Delhi Police arrested a gang of eight dacoits who committed robbery of Rs 65 lakhs in North West Delhi’s Ashok Vihar within 12 hours of committing the crime. 

They have recovered Rs 64.5 lakhs. According to the cops, one of the employees was the mastermind behind the robbery.
