Four accidents in 24 hours, eight injured

Eight people, including a Delhi police senior officer, were injured in four separate road accidents within 24 hours.

In the first accident, three people, including an auto-rickshaw driver, a cyclist and a motorcycle rider were injured after a speeding truck hit them while crossing a red light in Vasant Vihar around 3 am on Sunday.

In the second incident, Surender Sharma, Assistant Commissioner of Police, suffered minor injuries after a speeding car hit his official car at Aurobindo Marg around 5.15 am on Sunday. The errant driver who is absconding.

In the third incident, two bank employees, one of them reportedly critical, was injured after a Rajasthan registered bus hit them around 7.30 am on Sunday in Delhi’s Mandir Marg. The injured, identified as Mohan, 40, and Murlidharan Nair, 42, were rushed to a nearby hospital where Nair is reportedly critical.
