Founder of Manav Rachna family immortalised
It was a day marked by immortalising the founder of the Manav Rachna family- Dr OP Bhalla. The memory of Founder Visionary was transformed into a statue and unveiled by world renowned religious Guru, His Holiness Morari Bapuji whose spiritual presence infused the auspicious occasion with an eternal touch.
The date18 April became solemn and spiritual at the same time, evoking memories of a Legend who was unmatched in vision and foresight.
The Statue of Dr OP Bhalla, a colossal and magnificent artwork is created by world acclaimed Kolkata sculptor Gautam Pal and it is in a sitting posture, spoke of a father figure, ever ready to guide tomorrow’s leaders. It is a true reflection of what he was to the Manav Rachna family: a beacon of hope and inspiration, who made quality education his life’s mission and goal. The site of the statue (Central Lawns in the MRIU Campus) symbolizes the heart of the campus, and rightly so, for the campus is not just a brick and mortar edifice, but an embodiment of the Founder Visionary’s heart and soul. The ceremony was joined in by MREI fraternity headed by Dr Prashant Bhalla (Chancellor Manav Rachna International University) along with Satya Bhalla (Chief Patron MREI), Dr Amit Bhalla (Vice President, Manav Rachna Vidyanantariksha), Dr NC Wadhwa (Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University) among others, who paid a soulful tribute along with large congregation of senior dignitaries, eminent industrialists, academicians and well known personalities from various walks of life in the Delhi-NCR region who had gathered together at the Manav Rachna International Campus.
The lighting of the lamp and the soul-stirring rendition of Saraswati Vandana evoked the traditional ethos that is integral to the culture of MREI. Addressing the gathering, Dr Prashant Bhalla said, ‘On this day of soulful reminiscences, the unveiling of the statue of our Founding Father, I hope, inspire us to reach great heights and enthuse us to dedicate ourselves for actualizing his dreams and visions for the future.’
The solemn occasion also witnessed the soul-enlightening religious discourse by Morari Bapuji, a world acclaimed exponent of the Ram Charit Manas.
