Forecast of light to moderate rain for 2 days in West Bengal

The MeT Department on Tuesday forecast light to moderate rains in different parts of West Bengal for the next two days even as the state received scant rain during the day with the exception of Asansol and Darjeeling.

Asansol received 94.1 mm rainfall, the highest in the state today, the MeT Department said, adding that Darjeeling hills received 74 mm rainfall.

The other parts of the state received little or no rain on Tuesday, the MeT Department said. Calling for greater cooperation between the industry and academia, Chatterjee said the motto of the higher education roadmap is 4Es - expansion, equity, excellence and employability.
