Folk’s ‘Simplifying Lives’ programme aims to make a difference

Folk, a manufacturer of bags and accessories from natural materials have always given special attention to the comfort and convenience of customers. They also strive to contribute meaningfully to the empowerment of one another. The products also feature thoughtful innovations to make consumers’ day a little easier. From a hook inside a handbag to an inside pocket for mobile juice pack or a tote bag that also doubles as a laptop bag, their comprehensive in-house design, production and packaging team constantly endeavours to make each Folk product the ally for the ever-evolving needs of the modern world. With 12 years of experience in manufacturing bags and accessories for major global brands through their primary workshop in Kolkata and their distribution office and warehouse in Liverpool, they imagine creative yet functional ways to make home-grown, eco-friendly materials and indigenous craftsmanship an intractable part of daily life.

Their goal is to nurture the minds of youngsters who have been deprived of the familial love and protection, and the various cultural and social interactions that are taken for granted while growing up. Simplifying Lives is a 3 month-long programme for children just finishing their schooling under the care of Sarva Shiksha Mission, Kolkata. It has been conceived to provide them with holistic training on two levels. One consists of teaching them the specific professional activities practised at Folk like administration, designing, marketing, printing and packaging, not to mention the primary act of manufacturing.

According to their respective areas of interest, they will also receive advanced training.
