Flight operations normal at IGI

Flight operations were normal on Tuesday at the Indira Gandhi International Airport even as the airport witnessed shallow fog. Though there was fog at the airport, it had no impact on the operations as the visibility didn’t dip below 100m through the night, airport officials said. Visibility dipped at the third runway to 50 metres in the morning, the time when most departure take place. However, it had no impact on the flight movement as the visibility at the main runway was around 1,000m, they said. On Monday, around 50 flights were affected due to dense fog.Arrival or departure of around 20 flights was cancelled either due to operational reasons or due to bad weather conditions.
