Five killed in three separate road accidents

Within 24 hours, five persons were killed in three separate road accidents while two are critically injured in Southern range on Thursday. The condition of the injured persons is stated to be critical.

The first incident was reported at around 11 pm on Wednesday from South-East Delhi’s Pul Prahaladpur area where a 19-year-old boy was found lying in a pool of blood on the main road. 

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Adarsh Shrivastava, a native of Lucknow. He was riding his motorcycle at the time of the accident when an unknown vehicle crushed him to death from behind. 

In the second incident, three persons were piling on one motor-cycle that was hit by an unknown vehicle on BRT Corridor at around 4 am on Thursday. 

All of them were rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre where two of them, identified as Abhishek (18) and Aamir (21), were declared brought dead whereas Mukesh (27) who was riding the bike survived the accident. His condition is stated to be critical and has been kept under observation. All were residents of Greater Kailash area and their parents were unaware about their night-outs plan. 

A similar incident took place at Rao Tula Marg area at around 6 am on Thursday where two persons died on the spot while the other received critical injuries after their bike was hit by a vehicle. 

One of the deceased has been identified as Manish while the identity of the other deceased could not be established as yet. The injured person has been identified as Prashant, a resident of R K Puram area.
