Fire breaks out after minor explosion at Saket Court

A fire broke out after a minor explosion took place in the basement of the Saket court on Thursday afternoon. The incident came to light at around 12.30 pm. The explosion triggered panic following which Delhi Police and fire service officials rushed to the spot.

According to Delhi Fire Services, seven tenders were used to douse the flame. According to a police official: “A firecracker exploded at the parking lot in the basement of the lawyer’s chamber building.” However, no casualty was reported.

The area was cordoned off and visited by senior officials of the police district. Further investigation is underway, the official added.
