Fiat Chrysler automobiles to showcase its jeep model

Fiat Chrysler automobiles will showcase its Jeep model line up during the Delhi Auto Expo 2016 from February 5.

The Jeep vehicle line up consists of the Cherokee, Compass, Grand Cherokee, Patriot, Renegade Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited.

To meet the demand of the people around the world, all Jeep models are available in both left hand and right hand drive configurations and with gasoline and diesel power train options.

A pre-launch website for the Jeep was unveiled on December 30, 2015 offering the first glimpse to the customers and fans of its best selling models — the Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler Unlimited.

The Jeep which is the original and authentic 4X4 SUV brand is popular worldwide from 1941.

Thousands of jeeps came to India after World War II and were used by the zaminders in rural areas and in government offices. When Station Wagon was introduced in early 1950, the government departments  were bulk purchasers.

Automobile experts have predicted that by 2020 India will be a hub for SUVs. Because of wide and smooth highways more and more people are using them and all big automobile companies have introduced their SUV variants.

Kelvin Flynn, president and managing director FCA India said, “It gives us immense pride  to launch this iconic Jeep brand in India. FCA embarks on a new expedition in the Indian market and we hope this significant milestone will help us to firmly establish Jeep in India right from the start.”
