Festival named ‘Ras Se Bana Banaras’ is going to be celebrated at India Habitat Centre, from September 28 – October 13

The life and daily minutes of Banaras or Varanasi is something that the entire world craves to seek. The sounds of bells by the Ganges, innumerable lamps floating like chambers of prayers on an unending body of water, everything about this city always gives a curious heart a feeling of "There is more, there is more."

It is time for Delhi to celebrate Banaras with all its flavor and elegance. 'Ras Se Bana Banaras' 2019, a festival based on Banaras, is going to be celebrated at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi – India's most comprehensive convention centre from September 28 – October 13, 2019. The curator, Mohit Gupta, with his fellow co-curators, is all set to welcome all lovers of Banaras with the elements that makes this city the face of Hindu culture and heritage. With famous personalities from different sectors of expertise on Banaras, 'Ras Se Bana Banaras' 2019 promises to tell its visitors and participants a story of the city like never before.

The festival is being advised and co-curated by Dr Alka Pande, one of the best Indian academic and museum curator. The chief guest attending this festival is C R Patil, Member of Lok Sabha. Other guests of honour are Sanjeev Kapoor, celebrity chef and Padmashri Awardee, Atul Tiwari, noted script-writer and theatre personality, Shovana Narayan, Kathak dancer and Padmashri Awardee.

The festival shall have over 200 artists displaying their artworks including a pen-cum-pencil architecture sketch by Sourjya Das, co-founder of renowned Indian culture magazine, Footloose. Festival shall also conduct musical performances by various artists, book talks, poetry, curated food stalls, handicraft displays and Kathak performance dedicated to Banaras Kathak gharana.
