VIT-AP University celebrates second university day

During the event, Dr G Viswanathan, Chancellor, announced that Vellore Institute of Technology is now all set to come up with law school in the campus

Vellore Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh celebrated its second university day in Amaravati, on March 26. Dr K Ramji, PhD, Vice Chancellor, Dr B R Ambedkar University, Srikakulam and Vice-Chancellor (I/c), Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur graced the event as Chief Guest, while students enthralled the audience with cultural performances.

Sankar Viswanathan, Vice president, VIT-AP university; Dr D Subhakar, Vice-chancellor, VIT-AP University, and Dr CLV Sivakumar, Registrar were also present at the venue, where students, researchers, professors, and staff were awarded for their performances in the growth of University.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Ramji said that VIT stands for its quality teaching and innovative techniques to make future generations knowledgeable and competent enough to face global competition.

The students should come up with new ideas, in order to become techpreneurs. Also, they should use their summer break for internships to gain practical industrial knowledge, he suggested.

Guest of Honour Dr M Malakondaiah, IPS, Former Director General of Police, Govt of Andhra Pradesh, said that students are future of the country, and expressed his happiness for the prosperity and growth of the University – where it provided world-class laboratories, library, gymnasiums, hostel accommodation, playful environment, and various clubs and chapters to keep students thoughtful and resourceful in attaining the practical knowledge.

Dr G Viswanathan, Chancellor VIT announced that the University is now all set to come up with law school in the campus. And, new courses in B Tech with Artificial Intelligence, B Tech with Network security, BBA with Business Analytics in collaboration with Arizona State University, will also be offered from this session.

VIT-AP and Toonz Animation India (Trivandrum, Kerala) jointly launched the course on animation film making and visual effects (VFX), animation film making advanced (AFMA), visual effects-advanced (VFXA), 3D finishing programme – 3D FP.
