The Republic of Niger opens its first consulate in Kolkata

The Republic of Niger opened its first Consulate in Kolkata, which was inaugurated at JW Marriott Hotel, Kolkata on July 13. Rajendra Khandelwal, the Managing Director of Kolkata's most renowned Pharmacy Chain, Dhanwantary Group has been appointed as the first Consul of the Republic of Niger in Kolkata.

Ambassador of Republic of Niger in India, His Excellency Ali Illiassou came to Kolkata along with his wife Aissa Illiassou Ali to inaugurate the Consulate.

On this occasion eminent personalities and business icons of Kolkata including Nadimul Haque, Member of Parliament, Firhad Hakim, Minister in Charge, Municipality Affairs Govt. of West Bengal, Sadhan Pandey, Minster in Charge, Consumer Affairs and Self Help Group and Self-Employment, Govt. of West Bengal, Harsh Vardhan Neotia, Usha Uthup, Agnimitra Paul, Alokananda Roy, along with the members of Consulate Corps in Kolkata were present.

Rajendra Khandelwal expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Republic of Niger for appointing him the Consul of the Republic of Niger in Kolkata. He expected continuous guidance and support from the Ambassador of the Republic of Niger to fulfill the mission.
