Sister Nivedita University joins hands with Motes & Bots

Sister Nivedita University has joined hands with Motes & Bots, an AI-enabled IoT company from Singapore, with operations in India and Thailand. Going forward, SNU and Motes & Bots will collaborate to set up the Connected Intelligence Research Lab integrating AI, BI, IoT and other Data Science Programs in the curriculum and would offer internships to students in India and Thailand. Experts, lecturers, guides and mentors from Motes & Bots will be an integral part of SNU, training the students to evolve as ace entrepreneurs and use this exclusive platform to roll out new products.

Debasish Sen IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Department of IT and Electronics, Government of West Bengal inaugurated the EXPERIENCE ZONE of AI:THINGS at Sister Nivedita University. Swami Sarvottamananda, Pro Vice Chancellor, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Education and Research Institute, Dr Suborno Bose, Chairman, IIHM, and Sweeya Santipitaks, Consul General, Consulate of Thailand – Kolkata were the Guests of Honour at the inaugural ceremony.

Kallol Sen, Founder and CEO of Motes & Bots, explained about how AI-enabled IoT is catalysing a quantum jump in both the way we live our lives and the way businesses operate. Speaking on the launch of its flagship AI:THINGS Experience Zone, Sen, an IIT-Kharagpur/IIM-Calcutta alumnus, said that Motes & Bots focuses on designing and developing AI-enabled IoT products and services for the world market, under the brand name AI:THINGS. The Company is setting up its nationwide distribution network and chain of AI:THINGS Experience Zones to accelerate the mass adoption of AI-enhanced lifestyles.

Subhajit Roychowdhury (IIT Kharagpur/AIM Manila alumnus), a very successful Management professional in Thailand and Co-Founder of Motes & Bots, in his address said that Motes & Bots operates through three verticals: Smart Homes, Smart Institutions (Smart Hotels, Smart Offices, Smart Universities) and AI-driven Security and Surveillance (for governments and industry). He emphasised on the fact that the company is led by a team of some of the best brains in the world and uses cutting-edge technologies to create great economic values in today's ever-connected world.

Satyam Roychowdhury, Chancellor of Sister Nivedita University in his address emphasised that SNU is built on the path of Sister Nivedita and blessed under the shadow of Swami Vivekananda. The university offers educational programs in a wide array of streams like Engineering, Law, Literature, Natural Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, Fine Arts, Designing, etc., along with research initiatives through PhD Programs. All the courses are designed parallel to the industrial needs of the global economic structure of the contemporary market.
