Savour the taste of Biryani at 'Oudh 1590'

To please the stomachs and delight the hearts of biryani lovers, flavours of Awadh will come alive once again from June 8, at all three outlets of Oudh 1590. Actress Arunima Ghosh, Shiladitya, and Debaditya Chaudhury, Partners, Oudh 1590 revealed twelve varieties of biryani dishes at their annual 'The Great Awadhi Biryani Festival' which has gained popularity not only in Kolkata but to the NRB audience globally, over the years.

The exotic Biryani preparations made specially for this festival include Sugandhi Murgh Biryani, Murgh Yakhni Biryani, Shikari Bater Purdah Biryani, Shahi Hansa Biryani, Gosht Yakhni Biryani, Keema Biryani, Keema Khichdi, Gomti Sugandhi Mahi Biryani, Mahi Kofta Biryani, Jheenga Moti Biryani, Subz Sugandhi Kofta Biryani and Subz Yakhni Biryani.

Speaking on the occasion, Shiladitya and Debaditya Chaudhury, Partners, Oudh 1590 said, "Biryani owes a rich debt to the Muslim Khansamas of Oudh (modern day Lucknow), for it is they who introduced the gamut of biryanis to us. The thought behind organizing this festival is to showcase the legacy of this rich cuisine. We have been researching on this biryani concept from the beginning. We started working on this year's festival for the past eight months to introduce few new items this time. The Great Awadhi Biryani festival will be our gift to all the people of Kolkata."

The festival will be open from 12 pm – 3.30 pm for lunch and 6.30 pm – 10.30 pm for dinner. A meal for two at this festival would cost approximately Rs 800 plus taxes.
