Playing with watercolours

An exhibition of watercolour paintings by Chandrakanta Das will be organised at India International Centre, New Delhi, from September 18 –24. Das is a picture conservator who has been working first at the National Museum, and later as a private

conservator for more than twenty years. She has looked after the collections of Jehangir Nicholson, Pheroza Godrej, Harsh Goenka, and Ibrahim Alkazi amongst others in Mumbai and Delhi. Chandrakanta is a self-taught artist. She has exhibited her works at Art Heritage and at the Cafe Turtle at Khan Market. She also use her watercolour works to create gift bags, and cards.
