New Snapchat Update: Bridging distances or creating

What you need to know about the new Snapchat update.

With yet another update that's been rolled out, Snapchat surprised its users, with something they did not see coming. This latest update is called Snap Maps, and it's basically a way to track your contacts' movements and locations at all times. And yes, people are already using it to ruin each other's lives.
Snap Maps uses your phone's GPS to locate where you are, as well as your friends. Everyone using the map is represented by a 'Bitmoji,' a virtual avatar meant to resemble themselves. The bitmoji comes into action, just when and like you do. Users can, therefore, see where people are gathering, and where their significant others are actually hanging out.
Why should you be worried?
It's already posing as a privacy threat to the users. It has made stalking easier, in a matter of few seconds, you get to know where the individual is. Which definitely raises questions about the safety of that person.
Even the Police in the UK and New Zealand have expressed their concerns and issued warnings to the parents. It believes that children of younger age can easily fall target to stalkers, predators and even bullies and should be restrained from sharing their locations.
However, it's totally up to the user, as to with whom he/she wants to share the location and even enter 'Ghost mode', which lets you become invisible on the map.
Now, its possible for people to trace your location, even if you've been wanting to lie about it to them.
This not necessarily comes up as an update we've all been eagerly waiting for.
