Music album celebrates International Mother Language Day

Soma Das, an NRI singer, has launched her singles album Ekusher Gaan on the occasion of International Mother Language Day which falls on February 21 every year.
Soma Das, a singer who loves root musicians, resides in London though she did her diploma in Tagore songs from Dakshini a noted music institute from Kolkata. Interestingly this song has an international connect, Das being from London whereas the rest members of the song are from India. Ace singer-composer-lyricist Rupankar has composed the song and penned it's lyrics, while music has been arranged by Purab Acharya, eminent singer Srikanta Acharya's son.Noted elocutionist Samya Karpha has recited a poem Bornomala Amar Dukhini Bornomala by Shamsur Rahman as a prelude to the song released on INRECO.
Das has also worked with noted music composer-musician Debojyoti Mishra on her debut Tagore song album Amar Praner Manush which was released in the presence of popular band party group from Kolkata, Mahboob Band. In her recent visit to Kolkata, she launched her single Jaat Gelo with co-singer Pratyay Raha, where the narration was by Samya Karpha.
