'Master Dimsum' opens door to Kolkata

A thorough research was done by Shiladitya and Debaditya with regards to the menu, décor, and logistics, before embarking on this new initiative of opening outlets that offers an exclusive varieties of Dim sums.

Dim sum has always been on the priority list of the foodies of Kolkata. Even today, Tiretti Bazaar is the place where people tend to flock to have a refreshing meal consisting of this proper Cantonese delicacy. Dim Sum made its way to the foodies' heart for all the right reasons. It's lightness in the origin, the exquisite taste, varied shapes, fillings with a thin coating and the high healthy quotient is what makes it a foodies delight globally.

To give Kolkatans a taste of authentic Dimsums of various provinces of China, Shiladitya and Debaditya - the brothers who have given the city enough reasons to be gastronomically happy with brands like Oudh 1590 and Chapter 2 – have opened the first store 'Master Dim sum' in their QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) chain. It is for the first time that the city will get a chain of outlets showcasing exclusive varieties of Dim sums.

A thorough research was done by the Partners with regards to the menu, décor, and logistics before embarking on this new initiative. The décor simple yet bright and youthful has an international QSR flavour. The bright red colours used in the interiors enhance the happiness and appetite as per Chinese culture.

Chef Peter Chin, who has mastered the skill of making these little pleasures for years, has been roped in to prepare the exotic cuisine. Chef Chin is Chinese by birth and had spent long years in the Middle East working in some of the world class oriental eateries.

The first outlet of Master Dimsum is now open near Vivekananda Park off Southern Avenue and soon it will be spreading its wings in other locations of Kolkata. At least 15 Master Dim Sum stores will open in the city by March 2018 across 3 formats - Exclusive Store, Kiosks and Shop-In-Shops. The interesting part is that Master Dimsum will open from 7 am in the morning for breakfast and will remain open till 10 pm in the night.

"Dimsums has been an aspiration for Kolkatans so far as it was available only at five star and premium standalone fine dining restaurants. We wanted to democratise this and make this available to the middle class at an affordable price range. We will be opening five more outlets by October this year before the festive season and aim to open 20 more outlets by end 2019.", said Shiladitya Chaudhuri and Debaditya Chaudhuri, partners, Master Dimsum.

So, the hallway to tasty Dim Sums is broad open now. Choose from a varied platter that boasts Sui Mai, Fish Ball Noodle Soup, Hong Kong Style Gyozas, Thai Dumplings, Meatball Stick and many more.
