KIIT and Cambridge sign MoU for academic cooperation

KIIT Deemed to be University and University of Cambridge signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic cooperation on August 18, 2019 in the presence of Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and Dr Subrat Acharya, Pro-Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University.

The MoU was signed between KIIT School of Architecture & Planning and Department of Land Economy and Center of Development Studies of University of Cambridge. Professor S S Ray, Director, KIIT School of Architecture signed the MoU on behalf of KIIT University and Dr Shailaja Fannell of Department of Developmental Studies, University of Cambridge signed on behalf of Cambridge.

The purpose of this MoU is to promote and expand international understanding, institutional goals and friendship by stimulating and supporting academic, professional, and intercultural activities among students, faculties and staff at the two cooperating Universities.

Both the Universities will jointly develop appropriate educational programmes for faculty and students.

On this occasion, Dr Fennell said, the villages should be developed into smart villages like smart cities for the development of rural youths. Both the universities will work together on the sustainable smart solution of the rural problems in Odisha including Kandhamal.

The MoU between the Universities will help faculties and students in research and other academic development, said, Professor Ray.
