Khadi shines at Houston

On September 22, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing the Indian Community in Houston, his favourite fabric Khadi, too, was making its presence, in form of National Flags and Khadi Bags in front of the US Political Dignitaries and their staff. The Khadi and Village Industries Commission had supplied these items to Consulate General of India in Atlanta (USA).

KVIC Chairman Vinai Kumar Saxena said that acting quickly on the requisition sent by Dr Swati V Kulkarni, Consul General of India in Atlanta on September 9, 2019; the KVIC dispatched 100 pieces of National Flags (dimension of 4.5' x3') and 150 pieces of Khadi bags (dimension of 14" x12"x4") to them. "It is really a matter of pride for us that Khadi was showing its presence in USA, especially in a function led by none other than its biggest Brand Ambassador Narendra Modi – who took this token of freedom to be a medium of Economic Transformation," he said.
