Innovative pujas get recognition

Merlin Group, the leading Real Estate Group of India, has presented 'Merlin er Sera Pujo' Award to the winners recently at Princeton Club amid grandeur and festivity. The Group has instituted this award among its housing apartments in Kolkata to encourage the residents to organise Durga Puja innovatively in true spirit.

At a formal function at Princeton Club, Saket Mohta, Managing Director, Merlin Group presented the awards to the winners.

Awards were given in nine categories like 'Best Idol', 'food', 'overall decor' and 'festive attire' of the residents.

Merlin Sapphire, a residential apartment in Parnashree, Behala has won the award, while Merlin Warden Lake View in Ultadanga and Merlin Uttara, a residential apartment in Uttarpara came first and second runners up respectively.

Merlin Emerald, a housing apartment in Shibrampur has won 'best Protima' (idol) whereas Merlin Jabakusum in Behala has been conferred with the award in 'Best food' category.

Merlin Grove, a housing apartment in Tollygunge has won award intwo categories namely 'Best Decor' and 'Best Dress' categories. Merlin Laurel Garden, a residential apartment in Behala bagged the award for being most active in cultural activities. The award in the category 'Best Aarti' went to Merlin Estate, a residential apartment on Diamond Harbour Road. Merlin Twins, a housing apartment in Behala has won award for being the most environment friendly puja.

Mumtaz Sorcar, leading actor and daughter of legendary magician P C Sorcar and actor Rajdeep Gupta had taken a tour of different Housing apartments of Merlin in Behala and New Alipur on Mahasaptami.
