HopOn India launches audio guide for Lodhi Art District

HopOn India recently announced the launch of an audio guide for the Lodhi Art District at Lodhi Colony, New Delhi on its App – HopOn India. Launched in association with Asian Paints and the St+art India Foundation, the audio guide provides an immersive experience not only of the art installations but also the nearby Lodhi Gardens.

The guides will be available in two formats – a navigated tour of some of the key art works in the Lodhi Colony followed by a detailed tour of the Lodhi Garden and a soon to be launched mural by mural narration of the 55 art works that will bring each art work to life on pressing a key on the HopOn India App. Both tours are free to download and use.

If you love colour, creativity and unexpected, HopOn India tour of South Delhi will be an absolute super experience.

Lodhi Art District is India's first public art district, initiated by St+art India Foundation in collaboration with Asian Paints and the support of Central Public Works Department. Since 2015, over 50 artists from across the globe reimagined the colony making Lodhi an important space for arts and culture in the city. With a wide array of streets artists representing unique styles, the art district presents the public with the contemporary face of India, along with showcasing the global sub-culture of street art.

Lodhi Colony and the adjacent Lodhi Garden wear their legacy lightly. HopOn India's walk of this area first takes the visitor through the part of the government housing colony of Lodhi Colony. Then one walks to the Lodhi Garden which has more than a hundred species of trees but its highlight remains the monuments from Delhi's Sultanate period.

Commenting on the launch Jaideep Kanse, General Manager Brands, Asian Paints said, "We at Asian Paints are happy to take the Lodhi Art District to the next level with the audio guides. It is a great way for visitors to experience the artworks while walking around the Art District as well as Lodhi Gardens. We are glad to be collaborating with start-ups like HopOn India and our steady partners St+art India Foundation who have a unique vision for the city. Their efforts will make the experience for tourists so much easier to navigate around the area."

Shalini Bansal, Co-Founder, HopOn India was also appreciative of the partners. "We are encouraged by patronage provided by Asian Paints to a young start-up like HopOn India and also the enthusiasm of the St+art team, who have painstakingly created these modern landmarks in our cities. We do hope that the Audio Guide tours will give fresh perspective to the art works," she said.
