Tea and Water : Keeping yourself hydrated throughout the day is important to attain glowing skin and lustrous hair, and for that drinking ample amount of water is must. You can make a new addition to your diet with herbal tea as Ayurveda suggests that tea made with lemon, ginger and chamomile helps in having a healthy digestive system, which is of utmost importance for a glowing skin.
Abhyanga: It is an Ayurvedic remedy where you self massage with simple base oil like that of sesame or sunflower. This deeply nourishes your skin and help you get rid of wrinkles. Apart from this, neem oil and sandalwood can also be a good substitute as they protect the skin from blemishes and eczema.
Face mask: Oatmeal is indeed one of the healthiest dishes to eat but a fact which is lesser known is that it can be used as a face mask. It is very helpful in ayurvedic beauty treatment as it makes the skin look hydrated and refreshed.
Oiling: Oils such as bhringraj, olive oil and castor oil reduces the hair loss, repairs damaged hair and split ends. Olive oil hair mask particularly helps in making the hair voluminous. Proper oil massage opens up the scalp pores and let the oil works its magic.
Brahmi and Amla: Ayurveda suggest the use of Brahmi and Amla for achieving radiant and beautiful hair. Amla is rich in vitamin C which is the primary component for maintaining shiny black hair. Along with Amla, brahmi has an affinity to hair, and is helpful for controlling hair loss.
Besides the Ayurveda, here are few basic tips to follow:
Shampoo and Conditioner: Try using a good shampoo and conditioner which compliments each other well, help to maintain the shaft of your hair, and lock up the moisture in your hair. Despite that, steaming and masking should be done frequently. If you want to DIY a hair mask, you can go for ingredients like banana with avocados, amla, reetha and shikhakai.
Combing: Try to comb and your hair on a regular interval. Combing allows the hair to absorb the essential oils neede for proper growth. Also, it increases blood circulation to your scalp, thereby making the roots stronger. But too much of anything has its own disadvantages, thus avoid excess combing for it may result in hair loss and damage.
