Taking glamour to a new level

The three-day fashion extravaganza, India Runway Week Season 8 Summer/Spring Edition eight at Thdyagraj Stadium concluded with designers showcasing their glittering Spring Summer collection.
With numerous designers showcasing their designs, day two of the runway week dedicated to Indian textiles. The second day of the event was opened by Newgen Designers like Muskaan Agarwal, Tresha Parikh, Sejal Jain, Neha and Shivangi, Thhreads by Purnima Gulati.

Actor Poonam Dhillon walked the ramp for start-up designer Neha Choudhary while bringing the "Monochromatic Feminism" to a new level proving herself once again to be the undisputed queen of the era.

Glamour took the mercury a few notches higher when Actor Gauhar Khan walked for the duo Vinita & Chetan who debuted with their interpretation of 'Up side Down' on the second day of the event.

Suprachi's clothes were stunning, technically lofty fabrications and ladylike sophistication, certain hauteur. It was pretty thrilling to see the designer delve into silhouettes which were dramatic, bold and yet filled with feminine grace. An eclectic mix of dresses made from interwoven threads of cotton and silk, a perfect balance between ease and magnificence. The pieces speak a language of their own, fancy necklines with frill and flounce, a happy interplay of softness and expression. It makes it hard not to stop and admire the beauty of this very desirable collection. The spring summer collection by Anshita Garg aims at comfort and chic clothing. The motifs in the collection are inspired by female fashion croquis directed into geometric shapes.

Pooja Peshoia's collection was inspired by the natural reflections which illuminate the ocean's surface; the collection was strong and opulent yet fluid and feminine. Designed for the determined woman of today there was a blend of forward modernity yet rooted with traditional elegance and detailing. There was a variety of graceful lehangas, structured peplums jackets, crop top and skirts, sophisticated gowns, chic sarees and striking jumpsuits.

Delhi based Designer, Ankur J launched his Amun-Ra (hidden light) collection which emphasizes on Egyptian colors and prints with contemporary mix. With the collection, he raised the message of "Help Egypt Help an Heritage". Egypt is famous for its ancient civilizations and also some of the earliest and most famous monuments of the world but it's facing many grâve problems. "the issue which struck his attention was "taharrush gamea." which means "group harassment" in Arabic, "sexual assault by a bunch of Arab men" or "gang-rape game" and that it's a normal thing in the Arab World.

Priyamvada Couture,' was born from the deep desire to cater to young, confident women, who define fashion on their own terms. Bollywood actor Mugdha Godse walked the ramp for Priyamvada. Focusing on Indian Ethnic Wear, this label curate pieces inspired from her own fashion sense and her role models from among the beaming fashion industry. "Being a part of a lady on her special day is what motivates me and through my outfit I want her to feel like a queen" says Priyamvada Goel.

Sundarban by Akanksha Sarkar reflects such evergreen splendor and the surreal complexity. The indo Western silhouette of the garments enhances & signifies the bond between the east and the west. The classic lehenga paired with a cape and the tulip pants with cold shoulder top are some anomalous examples of collection.

"Tribe Vibe Collectives" by Akassh K Aggarwal is an inspiration from the world of Bohemian Self Love. In a society that has seen women as the weaker and the second sex, here's a Bow Down to the ones who decided to live the way they wanted to, no matter how crazy or rebellious. Bollywood glam Swara Bhaskar walked the ramp for the Delhi based designer.

Ritambhara Paliya specializes in evening gowns, lehengas, Anarkali's and maxi dresses and also into fairytale and destination weddings attires that are rooted in quintessentially Indian sensibilities but with the modern twist. Shamita Shetty walked the ramp for Ritambhara Paliya.

Kristy De Cunha did the grand finale of India Runway Week Season 8 -Kristy De Cunha who is widely known as a young emerging designer will be showcasing collection " Gol Gol Rani Freddie Mercury". It's a quirky twist on Freddie Mercury. The collection is curated with edgy prints with vibrant colors, which are a trademark to Kristy D Cunha's style of clothing catered to an intelligent audience. The collection will be catering to both men's and women's clothing.
