Dona conducts dance workshop for annual event, Basanta Utsav

Dona Ganguly, an ace Odissi dance exponent initiated a two-day dance workshop meant for the "Basanta Utsav" which will be held on February 23, 2018, at the Indian Museum, Kolkata. The programme will be jointly organized by the Indian Museum, Dona's dance school, Diksha Manjari and Incredible India.
It was an opportunity for budding dancers to take part in the grand celebration of Basanta Utsav. Every dancer is free to be a part of the workshop while selected dancers would have an opportunity to dance on the final day. Dona Ganguly, the choreographer of the show, said "We have got an excellent response from budding dancers from our city. It was open to all and not just meant for my students. Any one who has love for dance could join us. We have shortlisted fifty talented dancers after a two-day workshop for the final day. I am still getting calls from dancers who are interested to take part. About 500 dancers along with this shortlisted ones will take perform on the final day".
" We celebrate songs meant for this festival of colours for this occasion. Songs from films like Desh Rangeela, Khelbo Holi Rang Debona, besides semi-classical numbers are on our list," she added.
