Delhi Fashion Club promotes Sustainable Fashion

In a yet another initiative to promote Khadi and Handlooms, Delhi Fashion Club participated in the International Fashion Week, Goa, held at a 5 star Property – Cidade de Goa By Taj. The event was aimed at spreading awareness about eco-friendly textiles, khadi and 'Local to Global' initiative, so as to give a boost to handloom industry and trade.

DFC, which chose 'Sustainable fashion' as their theme, not only talks about eco-friendly fabrics but also urges to design zero waste garments.

DFC associates with International Fashion Week, Goa to give a platform to designers who are working closely with the weavers and looks for a platform to reach the local as well global buyers and audience.

To further promote the cause, Delhi Fashion Club presented opening show of IFW Goa For Day 2 with FDCI Designer Sonia Jetley, who is working actively to promote the cause of sustainable fashion and handlooms.

Sonia Jetleey Designs were made from pure silk chanderi, which is very Royal ancient weave with references in Vedic age. Hand crafted embroidery done with anchor threads along with the mirror work further added to the appeal and gave clothes a bohemian look.

'Local to global' is the buzzword as 'New Age Fashion' is all about conscious clothing, which is eco- friendly, sustainable and respects work ethics.

More than 17 Models graced the ramp wearing Sonia's designs. Show stopper of the show was Miss Tourism.

Not only this, DFC also launched one gen-next designer Omender Gautam, who designed very innovative beachwear with amalgamation of khadi and lycra so that youth can adopt khadi in an innovative way even at the beach. Designs consist of floral prints.

Delhi Fashion Club believes in the philosophy of Young Fashion-Young Khadi', as per that, it is mentoring young designers on how to make khadi and handlooms youth friendly and popular among masses.

International 2019 - Ms Rhythm Singh Randhawa walked the ramp along the designer, show director and Chairman of Delhi Fashion Club Harshit Dhingaun.

Models came from around the corner of the country to walk at such a prestigious platform, International Model Wijaidin Pamai from Nagaland , Miss Maharashtra Shruti Gorle, Reshma Kaurase from Nagpur, Miss Goa Oshin, Miss Nasik Snehal patil and many more were present at the event.

This show was beautifully Choreographed Jointly by Celebrity Fashion director Harshit Dhingaun and International Beauty Pageant Guru Sanjay Kanan.

In Past, Delhi Fashion Club has been appreciated by Government of India for promotion of handlooms of north east India.

DFC is looking forward to promote more talents in field of fashion, design and modelling. Hence they have started fashion consultancy and grooming sessions for models.

DFC consist of Delhi Fashion ClubModels, DFC Events and Productions, and DFC Consultancy for serving professionals and brands in a cost effective and collaborative way.

Delhi Fashion Club is going to promote handlooms in other states too after Delhi and Goa.
