Culture minister inaugurates the 11th edition of IFJAS

Dr Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Culture with Independent Charge, inaugurated the 11th edition of Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories show [IFJAS] being held concurrently with 61st edition of India International Garment [IIGF] at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, NCR Delhi in a colourful ceremony, recently.

The IFJAS is being organized by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts [EPCH] while IIGF is being organized by Apparel Export Promotion Council [AEPC] informed O.P. Prahladka, Chairman – EPCH.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Satyadev Pachauri, Minister of Khadi & Village Industry, Govt. of UP, Pankaj Singh, General Secretary of BJP and MLA from Noida and Kshipra Shukla, Chairperson, UPID, OP Prahladka, Chairman – EPCH, Surinderpal Singh Sahni, President, IFJAS 2018, HKL Magu, Chairman, AEPC, and other committee members of both EPCH and AEPC .

While inaugurating the shows, Dr Mahesh Sharma, applauded the efforts of Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, IEML and ED EPCH for organising an event which has brought art and culture at one platform. He further appreciated AEPC for joining the initiative and organizing Garment fair, so that in which buyers from all over the world have come to source their requirement of products of two important segments of lifestyles.

Pankaj Singh, MLA from Noida speaking on the occasion said, this event would provide more recognition to Indian fashion jewellery and apparel in other countries

Around 250 exhibitors from all parts of the country will be displaying fashion jewellery, semi-precious jewellery, stoles, scarves, shawls, handbags, clutch purses, belts, and bindies.

The designs on display are rich, traditional, modern and contemporary to suit all sections of society and markets, informed O.P. Prahladka, Chairman – EPCH.

Rakesh Kumar, ED – EPCH informed Buyers from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mexico, Russia, Sweden, Spain, Senegal, South Africa, The Netherlands, Taiwan, USA and Vietnam among other countries will be placing orders to the exhibiting companies during three days of the shows.
