Building bridges between India-Afghanistan

A food festival was organised jointly by the CD Foundation and Embassy of Afganistan. Speaking on the ocassion, Charu Das, Founder Director, CD Foundation said, "We used different venues for our different programs to promote the beauty, clour and taste of Afghanistan, showcasing their food/ handicraft/ films and fashion."

Food Festival, in which 18-member delegation from Kabul (majorly women) was invited was held at Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon. The Festival was conducted by Celebrity Lady Chef Fariba and her assistant Shobana.

Besides, screening of the film Hava Maryam Ayesha and 'meet and greet' with Sahraa Karimi (director) was also organised.

Adressing the audience, Tahir Qadiry, Acting Ambassador noted that such programs are important for building bridges between the two countries. Handicraft stalls and fashion Shows were also a part of this festival. Apart from that advance marketing course for women entrepreneurs and master class by chefs were attractions of the festival. Various media institutes organised media interactions between the journalists of the two countries.
