Bringing together veterans of Hindi poetry

Shriram Centre for Performing Arts is all set to host its 49th edition of Kavi Sammelan on November 23, 2019. The event is open for all via invites, available at the Centre itself

It is often said that poetry bares open the vulnerabilities of human beings to enable us relate to each other a little better. It is even more pronounced and relevant in digital age as the intrinsic strength of poetry lies in its ability to shed a "sideways" light on the world, so that the truth sneaks up on you.

Keeping its long established tradition of bringing together the best of Hindi poets from India with their different poetic strokes in varied genres, Shriram Centre for Performing Arts (SRCPA) is all set to host its 49th edition of Kavi Sammelan on November 23, 2019.

Some of the leading names who will be participating are Deepak Gupta – Poet of Laughter & Satire, Ghazalkar and Anchor, Ayush Charag, Laxmi Shankar Bajpai, Mahesh Garg 'Bedharak', Kunwar Ranjeet Singh Chauhan, Renowned Urdu Poet and Writer, Guljar Dehlvi, Tej Narayan Sharma, Manorath etc. Well-known poet Dr Ashok Chakradhar will be the Convener of the event.

Speaking about the event, Hemant Bharat Ram, (Executive Vice President) remarked, "Hindi poetry does not often get due recognition despite its impressive and rich legacy. We have been hosting SRCPA Kavi Sammelan for many decades to showcase the best of poets and their notable works. Next year, we would be entering our 50th year and we hope to make this more richer and impressive. The 49th year of Kavi Sammelan is sure going to be a success in bringing some of well known poets in Hindi to enthrall Delhi audience."

Delighting Delhi poetry lovers with these myriad poetries, the season will be a great opportunity to enjoy with family and friends.
