Ayuryog Expo 2019 opens in Capital

MoU between IYA and IEML was also exchanged during the inaugural event

The first edition of Ayuryog Expo 2019 being held concurrently held with Biofach India recently opened at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister of State [I/C], Ministry of AYUSH was the Chief Guest at the inauguraton ceremony. Dr Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament was the Guest of Honour and Padmashri Dr HR.Nagendra [Guruji] and Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH presided over the event.

The other dignitaries present during inauguration included Vaidya Devendra Triguna, Vice Chairman, AyurYog Expo Steering Committee, Dr Hansa Jayadeva Yogendra, Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda Puri, Padamshri Swami Bharat Bhushan, Jain Acharya, Dr Lokesh, and Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – India Exposition Mart Ltd.

While inaugurating the Expo, Shripad Yesso Naik said, "This expo is a great opportunity to spread the word about the System of medicine globally. Ayurveda is considered by many scholars as the oldest healing science. It is often called the mother of all healing."

Welcoming the dignitaries, Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – India Exposition Mart Ltd welcomed all the dignitaries and went on to say: "I would also like to welcome all the speakers who have come to make this expo 'Mahakumbh of Wellness'."

Dr HR Nagendra, President, Indian Yoga Association said, "The challenge is how to integrate the system into a common platform. This will pave the way to integrate allopathy and all systems, because no single system will be able to cope with the challenges of modern society. You have to have a pluralistic system".

Padmashree and Padmabhushan awardee, Vaidya Devendra Triguna, President, All India Ayurveda Congress also spoke on the occasion and said, "We want to achieve a method of medicine from yoga, ayurved and naturopathy, which will give good health to the entire world in a most cost-effective way".

Member of Parliament, Dr Mahesh Sharma, in his speech said, "Yoga is worldwide. Ayurveda has a history of thousands of years. It has a home in India".

An MoU between IYA and IEML was also exchanged on stage during the event.

Ayuryog Expo 2019 day is the world's first event which spans the wellness universe and includes Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy in which all Yogis, Gurus, experts and eminent personalities connected to Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy were on the stage set for grand inauguration. Exhibitors from all over the world will be highlighting and displaying their specialised products for all to see and experience.

The general sessions and specific scientific sessions held by Yogrishi Swami Ramdev ji Maharaj and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar are the main highlights during the four-days extravaganza.

Other highlights of the event during all days will be Four plenary and technical sessions in which eminent people will be delivering lectures in their respective fields.

Special sessions focusing on Yoga Education and Value Education targeted at school going students, to enrich their minds and help them achieve fulfilling and healthy lifestyles are one of the important attractions of the Ayuryog Expo 2019.

The event is being organised by IEML along with EPCH, IYA, AIAC, CISSA, and INYGMA.
