Ayuryog expo 2019 ends on a positive note

A day which began with a huge Yogshivir under the guidance of Yogrishi Swami Ramdev Maharaj at 6 am in the morning, concluded with a Valedictory ceremony. The event was of great importance for the Ayurved, Yog and Naturopathy industry, informed Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – IEML.

Padamshri Swami Amrta Suryananda Maha Raja, President of the European Yoga Confederation was the Chief Guest at valedictory session. Shantmanu, Development Commissioner [Handicrafts] was the Guest of Honour of Valedictory session among the other dignitaries present on the occasion like Dr HR Nagendra, Chairman Ayuryog Expo, Steering Committee; Padamshri Swami Amrta Suryananda Maha Raja; Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Puri; Jain Acharya Dr Lokesh, Founder, Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti; Dr Raghavendra Rao, Director, CCRYN; Dr K Subrahmanyam, Advisor to Chancellor, S-VYASA Yoga University; Dr Jaydeep Arya, Chief Central Coordinator, Bharat Swabhiman Trust; Sudeep Sarkar, CEO, IEML; and Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – IEML.

The Valedictory, which concluded scientific sessions and other activities of the expo, took place on November 9, evening at the India Expo Mart and Centre in Greater Noida.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, IEML and Director General, EPCH said, "I feel immense pride to be part of Ayuryog Expo 2019 and what it has been able to achieve in its first edition. This is our contribution along with Guruji, DR HR Nagendra's immense support and guidance, to organise this expo. The idea was to spread the need of Ayurveda, Yoga and Wellness among general public. This event was an effort which brought together for the first time, the huge and important sciences of Ayurved, Yog and Naturopathy".

Dr Naveen KV, President, INYGMA, gave a report on the Knowledge and Scientific Sessions which took place at at expo stating, "While Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy are well established in India, there is a challenge to make these systems of Indian medicine globally recognised, prescribed and insured as China has done for acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine".

Chairman of the Advisory Council, Dr HR Nagendra, President, Indian Yoga Association commented, "This was one of the biggest conferences and expo and platform for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy. We have gathered so many people it is quite remarkable".

Chief Guest Padamshri Swami Amrta Suryananda Maha Raja also said a few words about his experience. He said, "A yoga teacher should have the same training as a medical doctor. A Master Degree and A PHD degree hold the same social prestige as a medical doctor. This is my struggle now".

This was followed by Ashirwachan by Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Puri; and Jain Acharya Dr Lokesh.

The ceremony was concluded with a vote of thanks given by Sudeep Sarkar, CEO, IEML
