Annual Day celebration emphasises the 'power of dreams'

JP International School, located at Sector Omega 1, Greater Noida, passionately celebrated Mélange, 2017, its 12th annual day, around the theme of 'The power of dreams'. Students from nursery to senior secondary wing showcased hope, aspirations, dreams, through various dances and cultural programmes and enthralled the audience.
Held on November 25, the event witnessed Dr. Amiya Chandra, Additional Director Foreign Trade as the Chief Guest and Major General V. Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan as Guest of Honor. The other distinguished guests who were present were Pradeep Agarwal, industrialist, philanthropist, promoter of Sparsh group and founder of JP International school, Roshan Agarwal, Chairman of JP International School, Ranveer Singh, Regional officer, CBSE, Dehradun and Lt. General (Retd.) J. Sikand, member of the think-tank of JPIS among others.
The School Principal, Heema Sharma, President Arun Kedia and Vice President Amit Saxena welcomed the guests besides presenting the annual report and achievements of the school. Also, they launched "JP Times" a quarterly digital newsletter to share the progress and achievements of school to its stakeholders. The staff members, who had spent more than 10 years with JP International School, were honoured as well.
Dr. Amiya Chandra, who inaugurated the celebrations, said, "I am extremely privileged to have the opportunity to witness the amazing and passionate performances. I was wondering that how talented these young boys and girls are and how fortunate they are to study in a top-ranked school with world-class facilities". Dr. Chandra also praised theme of the event and asked students to dream more and be the catalyst to change the society.
After the lamp lighting the event began with mesmerizing performances like "Jashn -E- Bachpan", "tiny rock stars" by the little wonders of nursery. Students also presented their social concerns and charmed the audience with Dastak- An Appeal (Beti Bachao) which left everyone with teary eyes and a promise to contribute wholeheartedly to the cause. The school band performances were the highlight of the evening.
