An evening dedicated to art

WelcomArt and Millennium Post together organised a solo art exhibition by Anukta Mukherjee Ghosh. Titled 'India on Canvas: A brush with our diversity', the art show was inaugurated on September 6, at WelcomArt gallery, ITC, Kolkata. Present on the occasion were Eminent artists Shuvaprasanna and Jogen Chowdhury, Consul General of Russia Alexey M Idamkin along with other dignitaries and guests.

The horizon of Anukta's work is beyond the boundaries of categorisation. She believes that art transforms the mundane to the extraordinary. Be it the paintings of hand-pulled rickshaws of Kolkata, its Ghats, the city of Benaras, the lakes of Nanital, the bells of Gorakhal temple, the architectural splendours of India, depiction of its people, or simply the bounties of nature, her magical strokes breathe a symphony of the world around her. The works were on display till September 8, 2019, 11 am – 7 pm
