A plegde against plastic

Contributing to the health and sustainability of our environment, Delhi Tourism conducted a Shramdaan and pledge taking ceremony against usage of 'single-use plastic', in order to implement the second phase of Swachch Bharat under the name of 'Swachchta hi Sewa'. Manisha Saxena, Secretary (Tourism) and Sanjay Goel, MD & CEO, DTTDC heralded the ceremony amidst several participating employees of Delhi Tourism.

The pledge ceremony, cleaning drive and Shramdaan were conducted across Delhi Tourism's three Dilli Haats in Janakpuri, Pitampura and INA, Garden of Five Senses, Guru Tegh Bahadur Memorial and Azad Hind Gram projects. Extending the initiative to the visitors, a pledge desk had also been set up for obtaining signatures. A topical Nukkad Natak organised by National Green Tribunal/ ARSD College graced the stage of Dilli Haat INA to further engage with onlookers and raise awareness.
