A love story for all ages

Happily ever after's aren't as easy as the stories would make you believe, and Aadyam's latest play knows just why. After a jazz-noir thriller, Detective Nau-Do-Gyarah and a heartwarming tale of rural India's dreams 'Hello Farmaaish' comes Aadyam's third play of this season, as different from the previous two as can be.

'Jab Khuli Kitaab', written and directed by Saurabh Shukla, takes you through the struggle of a couple, happy in their marriage, who are suddenly confronted with the murky chapter they thought had long passed them.

Even after fifty-five years of marriage, Gopal is deeply in love with his ailing wife, Anusuya – until he finds out about her affair from fifty-four years ago!Their comfortable life is thrown upside down, and Gopal no longer knows what to think, or how to look at his beloved wife again. Just when things seem like they could not get better, Gopal and Anusuya discover that it is never too late for a second chance at happiness.

Directed by Saurabh Shukla, a National Award-winning actor who has played diverse roles from Bandit Queen to Barfi!, this is his third play. Also featuring Irawati Harshe Mahadev, Danish Hussain, Jyoti Kapoor, Ravi Mahashabde, and Kapil Kumar among others, 'Jab Khuli Kitaab' brings together a variety of talents onto a single platform.

'Jab Khuli Kitaab', on one hand, is the story of destruction and on the other hand, is the hopeful possibility of a fresh start.

A love story for all ages, this play promises to be a memorable evening out at the theatre for the

whole family. The performance will be held on October 20 and 21, at Kamani Auditorium.
