Fast And Furious: Paul Walker killed in car crash

The accident took place Saturday in Santa Clarita, California. Walker was said to be inside the Porsche GT when the driver lost control.

Santa Clarita Valley's sheriff department confirmed Walker's death, reported Xinhua. The cause of the collision is under investigation, police said. Walker was in Santa Clarita for a car show to support the Philippines typhoon relief effort, and went for a ride with a friend in a new Porsche GT.

The accident happened during that test spin. ‘He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives,’ Walker's representative said. ‘All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family,’ Universal Studios said. Walker was filming the next sequel of the Fast and Furious. The film was scheduled for release on 11 July 2014.
