Bollywood actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar plans to work on a movie set in pre-independent India,? a venture he says will have universal appeal .
As a director, the multifaceted Farhan says he would like to experience ‘another sort of film’. “The film that I have in mind is a period drama set in India in 1905. In terms of the content, I feel it is definitely going to be something that appeals to everyone, regardless of culture and language,” Akhtar told PTI. Akhtar, 40, made his directorial debut with Dil Chahta Hai in 2001.
