Fake packers and movers gang busted, one arrested

The Delhi Police busted a gang of fake movers and packers who duped people on the pretext of shifting their household items to the desired destination. However, the household items once booked and packed never reached the mentioned spot.

The Delhi Police received a complain from Mohd Moin, retired assistant commandant RPF who said that his son who is a professor in Delhi University, a resident of Dwarka, has been cheated by a fake movers and packers company who packed their household valuables and later turned off their mobile phones.

Mohd Moin’s son has been transferred to Tejpur, Assam. After the transfer, the family gave a call to the company to shift their belongs to Tejpur. Soon after they received a call from a person who introduced himself as the director of ‘Gati International Movers and Packers and offered his services. Falling for the name, the family agreed.

On 2nd October, all the household articles were taken away by the persons belonging to the company which never reached the destination. The family soon realised that they have been cheated when the contact numbers of the person went off.

On specific inputs the accused Gajendra was arrested from Noida Sector-49.
