Fake iphones, accessories worth Rs 17 Lakh seized

The District Investigation Unit along with Enforces of Intellectual Property Rights (EIPR) seized fake products on Thursday from three retail shops at Old Lajpat Rai Market in the city. According to police officials, during the raid the cops came across many fake products including 29 iPhones and 430 headphones.
The cops also seized 58 power banks with iphone 6 logos embossed on it. The fake products were being stored and sold under a reputed brand name. The seized products are valued at close to Rs 17 lakhs. The senior official said owners of the shops have been arrested and an FIR has been lodged at Karol Bagh Police Station.
