Fadnavis warns non-performing babus, says will be shown door
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has warned non-performing officials and workers of various departments of action if they fail to comply with government directives.
"The government will not hesitate to show them doors. Such officers will be sent home," the chief minister replied to a query here yesterday when asked about non-performing bureaucrats and workers.
He said the entire digitisation, Right to Service Act and other pro-people measures have been initiated to reduce friction and direct interface with the people and make entire system transparent, speedy and result oriented.
"No excuses will be entertained for red-tapism, or delayed and flawed decision making," he said.
When asked whether the bureaucracy has mended ways as he had sometime earlier claimed 70 per cent of them were not co-operating, he said most of the senior officers are doing a good job and claimed that even the performance of ministers is being assessed as per Key Result Area (KRA) fixed for the respective department.
