Factory gutted

A major fire broke out in a three-storey garment factory in Tughlakabad area of south-east Delhi on Wednesday. None was injured in the incident.

‘The fire information was received at 11.55 am and immediately, 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. As many as 13 more tenders were sent later,’ a Fire department official said.

The factory was gutted and all material inside was damaged. It took around four hours to control the fire.

‘The fire tenders controlled the fire in four hours. No causalities have been reported and the reason of the fire is yet to be confirmed,’ the official added.
