Examinations rescheduled on account of Fateha Doaz daham

The examinations scheduled on Monday in the universities across the state, has been rescheduled to Tuesday. On Monday, the universities will be closed due to a national holiday for Fateha Doaz daham which was earlier scheduled on Tuesday. But the day was later changed.

The issuance of new notices for rescheduling of examinations was already done in most of the state universities. But the students are now facing problem to mentally prepare for the examination rescheduled one day after the original date.

Institutions such as Jadavpur University, University of Calcutta, Rabindra Bharati University and University of Burdwan decided to postpone the examination.

“Jadavpur University, which is supposed to conduct many examinations scheduled in Monday, has rescheduled those in Tuesday. There were Graduate and Post Graduate examinations scheduled on Monday. However, the engineering examination will be conducted in December 29,” said Jadavpur University official.

The University of Calcutta also rescheduled many Graduate and Post Graduate examinations on Tuesday, said officials. However, the Rabindra Bharati University will also not allow the students to fill up the forms for three examinations. The students will have filled those forms in December 13.

The University of Burdwan will inform the date of the rescheduled examination later. The examination which was supposed to happen on Tuesday will not be taken now.

Many state run schools have already rescheduled their examinations as well.
