Pitt keen to fix bond with Angelina Jolie

Los Angeles: Actor Brad Pitt reportedly wants to fix his relationship with actor Angelina Jolie for the sake of their six children.

According to a source, Pitt is trying to figure out what's best for their children – Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8 – so they can have a normal life, reports hollywoodlife.com.

"No matter how much Angie has hurt him, Brad was, and is, determined to mend his relationship with her for the sake of the kids," the source said.

"Their welfare is more important than anything else in this world and he knows having a respectful relationship with Angie is what's best for those kids," added the source.

"One thing that he and Angie differ on is the day-to-day lives of the kids," an insider revealed to HollywoodLife.com. "Brad desperately wants to give then as much of a sense of normalcy as possible. He knows it's tough, but he doesn't want them growing up in a fishbowl."

They have been in a custody battle for the children.

Not only was Brad reportedly under investigation for an alleged altercation with their oldest son, Maddox, but he wasn't able to see the children at all for quite some time. Now, Brad is back to strengthening his bond with the children – especially Maddox and Pax – all the while working on a permanent custody agreement with Angelina.
