Not going to the gym to get size zero: Kareena

Kareena Kapoor, who recently became a mom, clarifies that she is going to the gym only to feel good about herself.

Kareena Kapoor Khan said she is not working out to attain a size-zero figure as she believes gaining weight post-pregnancy is a natural process. The 36-year-old actor, who gave birth to baby boy, Taimur last year in December, was seen going to the gym soon after the delivery.

"If I am going to the gym, it's not about getting size zero. So many people and girls went like, 'Why does she have to leave her baby and go to the gym?' I read these comments and I feel that's the most stupid thing ever because having a child doesn't mean you can't feel good.
"If you are feeling good, if your mental health is good then automatically your child feels well. Taimur is happy and everyone is happy. I am one of the most relaxed and chilled out girls," Kareena told reporters here. When asked if there was pressure to shed weight and achieve a certain body type, Kareena said, "The most normal thing that a woman goes through is childbirth and every woman puts on weight, it's important and it happens naturally.
"I never felt any pressure. The idea behind me going to the gym came from the fact that I wanted to feel good and happy." Talking about paparazzi and Taimur being clicked, Kareena Kapoor said she does not mind shutterbugs clicking her seven-month-old son, Taimur Ali Khan as the actor believes it is quite normal for one to be photographed these days. The 36-year-old actor said her little one is the "most amazing and cutest child".
"The culture today has changed, anywhere you go you're getting photographed. Taimur is as normal as anybody else, so why should he be treated otherwise?
"It's absolutely okay, it's his journey, his life. And apart from that I think he is probably the most amazing and cutest child," Kareena said. The actor, who was last seen in Udta Punjab, feels it is going to be a little difficult for her to manage personal and professional life after Taimur's birth.
"I've always had a personal and professional life but of course, now it's more difficult. I try and strike a balance. I am starting a shoot of a movie so he (Taimur) may come with me. The father (Saif Ali Khan) also has to take a little bit responsibility. That's where Ki & Ka comes in," she said.
Kareena will start filming Veere Di Wedding this year, which also features Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar.
