Zayn Malik hits back at his critics on Twitter

Former One Direction star Zayn Malik has blasted the critics who have urged him to quit making music.

The 24-year-old star has taken to Twitter to blast his doubters and suggested he has no plans to walk away from the industry anytime soon.

"I recall someone saying to me a while back music wasn't my thing and maybe I should try something else.. I guess we're all good at doing things
we shouldn't (sic)." the singer said.

Zayn has enjoyed considerable success as a solo artist since he quit One Direction in 2015, becoming the first British male artist to debut at
number one in the UK and the US with his first album 'Mind of Mine'.

However, he has also been forced to cancel a number of planned appearances owing to his struggles with anxiety, including a much-anticipated performance at Capital Summertime Ball in June 2016.

His anxiety issues have seen him struggle to take to the stage as a solo artiste. And because of his personal battle, Malik has faced criticism.

This comes after the star sent fans into a frenzy last week with the stripped-back version of the song "I don't wanna live forever", a duet with
singer Taylor Swift, which is to be featured in the upcoming movie Fifty Shades Darker, directed by James Foley, which is set to be launched on February 10.

The singer is also keeping himself busy with the 'Victoria's Secret' model and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid whom he defended when accused of 'mocking Asians' on social media and faced a barrage of criticism from her fans.
