Knepper free of sexual assault allegations

Los Angeles: Warner Bros has said it investigated actor Robert Knepper after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced against him. The studio said that it found no evidence of wrongdoing by the 58-year-old actor on the sets of its show 'iZombie'.

"We were deeply concerned about recent allegations regarding Robert Knepper," Warner Bros TV said in a statement, reported Variety. "As a result, we conducted an internal inquiry with some of the cast and crew of 'iZombie'. We found no evidence of wrongdoing on the set of the show. We have taken and will continue to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved, which is our top priority," it added.
Knepper, plays the father of Blaine DeBeers (David Anders) on the CW show, which is a loose adaptation of the comic book series of the same name. Last month, Knepper was accused of sexual assault by costume designer Susan Bertram during the filming for a movie in 1992.
She said that the 'Prison Break' star sexually assaulted her when she went to his trailer to drop some clothes. However, Knepper denied the allegations.
"Over the past few weeks, my wife and I have discussed the pain women have experienced and the bravery they have shown in coming forward," the actor had said.
