Desi boy Kapil turned Firangi

The king of comedy Kapil Sharma is back with a bang but this time on big screen. He was in the beautiful city of Chandigarh to promote his film Firangi that is slated to release on November 24. Though he was late for more than one hour, he still managed to grab the eyeballs of all those present on the venue by apologising. "Bahut thaka hua tha aate hi so gya, uthne ki himmat hi ni ho ri thi," he stated. He was accompanied by actor Monika Gill.
When asked about his experience this year (as he had a big fight with Sunil Grover), Kapil smilingly answered in his desi style, "It was a learning experience for me. Pta nahi tha ki ek artist (celebrity) ki puri team hoti he jisme ek kapde pehnane ke liye hota he, ek utarne ke liye, ek nehlane ke liye. I was doing everything in my typical Amritsari desi style. But yes, we learn gradually. Though I doubt if there will be any change in my desi heart," he affirmed.
When asked if he is perfect now to handle rumours and controversies, Kapil said, "As a kid too, I wouldn't open up much. Hum bolte kuch he uska matlab kuch aur nikala jata he. Isi se celebrity ka crime sabit hota hai. Par sach ye bhi hai ki controversies judi celebrities se hi hoti he, aam logo ki personal life janne me kisi ko interest ni hota."
About his back to back work and hospitalization the actor said, "I was not aware that after a film, one is supposed to take a break, go for vacations, post pictures from exotic locales. I kept working like a donkey and then I landed in the hospital."
Mentioning about the experience of shooting Kapil stated, "The entire team has put in so much hard work in the film. Almost after 10 years, we shot in Ropar and I saw fog after a long time. Firangi has comedy, emotions and drama, something the audiences will like."
Will Kapil be making a Punjabi film in future?
He said, "I have put my entire money in making Firangi, let me recover some money and then I will think of making a Punjabi film. Also if the money is recovered I would make Firangi part 2 as well," Kapil told Millennium Post.
Kapil who is a singer himself hasn't sung any song in his movie as he says, "This is for your reference, I don't sing in my own movies, I don't wish to spoil my own film, I spoil other's film. Its music has been done by Jatinder Shah. He was the best person to do it, I couldn't see anyone making better music than him."
