Entally shootout case: 4 including kingpin arrested

The city police on Saturday arrested four youth in connection with the incident of firing outside a school at Entally in which a person received bullet injuries on his leg.

It may be recalled that a few days ago two motorbike-borne miscreants opened fire at Kalu when he came to drop his daughter to school. Investigation had revealed that it was an outcome of a gangwar between two rival groups of the same area.

Acting on a tip off, the police on Saturday conducted a raid and arrested four youth including the kingpin of the group Bablu. 

All four were absconding since the day of the incident. The youth who was sitting on the pillion of Bablu’s motorbike was Ilu.

Ilu had just assisted in committing the crime and it was Bablu who had opened fire at Kalu. 

The incident had led to panic in the area and local people had alleged that the police are not taking necessary steps to check such incidents.

A police officer said that some more close aides of Bablu will be arrested soon and those have been arrested on Saturday will be interrogated to get whereabouts of rest of their associates.
